Works flawlessly as expected. Lots of power to pull treelength or long logs to your log pile. I bought the forestry kit which really is a must to get the full benefit of the machine with minimal effort.

I ordered my pwc3000 a week before hunting season, and after realizing I had made a mistake on the shipping address, i found their support very helpful in fixing my error. The winch arrived in time for the season and after an encouraging quality inspection, was promptly tested by dragging an old 14’ waterlogged fishing boat up the hill to the burn pile. Pleased with its performance, we packed it into the vehicle the night before season started, and after several days we got a deer down that needed to be retrieved from 75’ down a steep and rocky hill. We looped the included strap around the nerf bars and ran a rope on down. Needless to say the pwc3000 handled it with aplomb and we were enroute to home with a field-dressed deer that had only been on the ground about 25 minutes! Superb experience all around, looking forward to many years of service from this fine piece of winching equipment.

We said we would get back to you. We finally got to use our Winch on a 500lb Cow Elk in steep mountains. I would have never taken the shot if I thought we couldn’t get her out. This winch is amazing , with the accessory kit we even loaded the elk into the truck.

I am most happy and pleased with the purchase of my winch. The sale and shipping of the winch were effortless on my end. And in what seemed like no time at all, the winch arrived to our remote island post office. And I am now pulling logs around my acreage… one handed, smiling and giggling every time!

Sometimes we get an Elk in the steep country and have a tough time getting it out. We don’t like waste so we’ll try the PCW 3000 and let you know how we did!

This was recommended to me by a friend. He thinks it’s the best thing going. I believe it will work great for me. A suggestion, try shipping with a pint of motor oil. I had a hard time finding the proper oil in my area. Looking forward to working this winch!

Although I have yet to use it for hunting as intended, it works amazing and starts on a dime. Thank you for a great product.

Just finished reading the owner’s manual on the Winch and am finishing the manual on the engine.
Planning on using it this weekend to pull wood rounds out of the forest.

The winch and forestry kit are fantastic. So easy to use and a lifesaver for pulling firewood logs out of the woods. And the set of videos are fantastic. Portable Winch is a great company in every regard.

I purchased this winch for a moose hunt with my daughter (all my buddies were on other hunts and we needed muscle) we never needed to use it for the hunt but if we didn’t have it we would have needed it for sure. (Drove ATV right to the moose) Used it for a lot of jobs around the woodlot and to pull a ride in lawnmower up a 150 foot cliff after my father in law flipped it over the hill (he’s ok and fully recovered) it would have cost thousands to get a tow truck to recover it plus damage to the property getting to the river bank. I plan on adding a good selection of accessories for future use. Thanks portable winch for manufacturing such great products.

I use the winch for bringing logs out to the tractor, saves having to make trails all over the lot with the tractor and trailer. Pulled 12 ft long, 12 inch diameter ash and maple logs out with no issue through rough, uneven and rocky terrain with only a couple times where I had to go and unsnag something. The forestry kit is quite useful, also contributing to limit the damage to the grounds with that big cone. Lots of stuff to cart around though (cone, winch, rope bag, chain saw, gas, etc....a really full loader bucket!), but well worth it. The winch is not really hard on gas, so you can get away with filling it and leaving the jerrycan behind, unless you are planning a lot of pulling. Really satisfied with the purchase.

Bought this after a bad storm left 2 badly leaning trees over one of my buildings. I live in the forest and had no way to cut them down without damage. Neighbor's said this winch was too small for the job. These were large trees and I had to pull them over to lean the opposite direction before I could cut them down. By double lining I got the nerve wracking job done. Thanks Porta Winch for a great product and I now use it regularly to make many forestry jobs safer.

Excellent tool. Purchased for dragging deer out of hilly areas, but I will use it for much more. Tested it opening weekend of gun season in Kentucky worked perfectly. They could name it deer hunter heart attacked preventer.

I bought this winch to use on moose hunts in Maine and to pull logs in my woodlot. I have pulled 2 bulls out with it worked awesome.

I am extremely happy with my PCW-3000 portable winch. This is one powerful piece of equipment for its size. The design and quality of the winch and the various accessories is ingenious. It's very easy to use and it gets the job done. I also like Christian's helpful videos for using the winch. I use it primarily for pulling felled trees but have also removed some heavy vines tangled in trees. When I first purchased it, I submitted a question about how to use the winch when there wasn't a tree to anchor it to and received a quick and helpful response from the Portable Winch team. I just ordered some additional accessories because I'm sure I'll find other uses over time that might require additional pulleys and carabiners. The winch and accessories aren't inexpensive but are well worth the money compared to some other products. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one long before I did.

Ordered this winch when i knew I would be going moose hunting. As far as I'm concerned, it paid for it self in one hunt! It's been quite handy for so much more than just a moose hunt! I would recommend one to anyone!
